Supreme Court rules that tribunal fees are unlawful, because they prevent access to justice.

As I’m sure you’ve heard, a ground breaking recent judgement by the Supreme Court has ruled that tribunal fees are unlawful and should be abolished. Both the High Court and the Court of Appeal had previously found against Unison’s appeal against tribunal fees but the Supreme Court rules that fees are unlawful, both under the domestic and EU law, because they prevent access to justice.

How could  this ruling will affect your business.

The number of new tribunal cases filed in East London during August increased by 100% compared to the same time last year; central London figures weren’t too far behind either, up by 75%.

If you’re a business owner, these statistics are scary. But don’t worry with the correct Hr processes and procedures in place you can protect your business.

I cannot stress enough that when it comes to employee and management and training, companies should be proactive not reactive. This has never rung more true especially when it comes to situations where you could potentially lose a lot of money – such as a tribunal.

But don’t worry if you are an SME and don’t have the fascilities for an HR department or the need for a full time HR Manager.

Ethos Coaching supplies an HR consultancy Service.

We can help you with your HR needs by providing HR Support to help fix a current issue…or even better to prevent an issue occurring.

…and working with you to implement the HR Best Practice you need in place to drive your business forward.

We offer different levels of HR support to meet your requirements. We can advise you on the steps you need to take, we can support you as you are taking them or we can manage the whole process for you.

One question I am often asked is what brought you to coaching?

Most of my working life has been spent as a Hairdresser in various management posts but a common
thread throughout was working with, and developing, people from young trainees
to more experienced team members.

I have always been a great believer in the power of coaching and over the years have seen how it can
help people unleash their potential and surprise themselves and others with
their achievements!

In 2007 I retrained as a coach and saw that here was an opportunity to develop my coaching skills
and turn my passion into a new career.

Another question I am often asked, is why did I decide to become a coach?

The answer is very simple, it is my belief that everyone deserves to feel as happy, confident and fulfilled as possible. Life coaching

helps people sort through difficult issues and move forward in positive ways. I work with clients in private and in person. By talking though issues we make significant progress towards clarity and a strategy for change. Coaching is not
therapy, neither is it advice in disguise. It simply gives you the tools to get you where you want to be.

I work with clients that require help in the following areas;

  • Personal development
  • Work-life balance
  • Stress management
  • Time management
  • Self-awareness and self-acceptance
  • Family issues
  • Retirement
  • Relationships
  • Decision-making

If you feel that coaching could be something you would like to try, or if you are having trouble figuring out why life just isn’t going quite the way you want, then get in touch and we can work together to help you start to make changes to improve your life, and start living the life you deserve!

ONE HOUR £55 (£75/90 minutes).

We will be happy to hear from you. Please use our contact page or if you would prefer to talk, please email us to set up a no obligation telephone consultation.
